My Las Vegas UFO/UAP Experience

It was about 4 am in the Las Vegas desert. My girlfriend and I worked at a restaurant together and decided to drive out to the desert after work to have a couple beers and to fool around a bit.

All you have to do in Vegas is drive out past the outlining neighborhoods and voilà, desert, just on the outskirts of the city, or pretty much any neighborhood.

After about 30 minutes after we parked, something in the distance caught our eye. The mountains were about 5 miles away, you could see them clear enough, but not as if they were up close.

We saw what looked like a helicopter or a craft of some kind zipping back and forth on top of the mountain ridge.

But we knew it absolutely was not a helicopter because of the way it moved. It seemed to cover or travel about 5 to 10 miles within a second. It zipped from one end of the mountain to the other, which I estimate was 20 or 30 miles. The range stretched the horizon, and the craft zipped along it like it was nothing.

Zip is about the only way I can describe how it moved. It was fast, really fast. It dropped out of the clouds, flew or zipped one way, then the other at unbelievable speeds.

That is not even the strangest part. When it zipped to one location and stopped, it shot what looked like a beam of condensed lightning bolts into the ground, like static or something. It was strange, I’ve never seen anything like it.

Imagine a bunch of lightning bolts crammed into a large or wide beam of light. That’s what they shot into the mountain.

It zipped about 2 to 5 miles, stopped and shot its bolt of lightning, zipped to another spot, and did it again. It did this over and over, stopping at different places every time.

My girlfriend and I were struck dumb. We just sat and watched in disbelief. I think we muttered a couple comments like, wholly shit, what is it?

This went on for about 4 or 5 minutes, but it felt like longer. I got out of the car to pee, and continued watching the craft zipping around the mountain top. That’s when the craft started zipping a bit closer in our direction. It was still pretty far away, but it was moving a lot closer to us.

As I zipped up my jeans, my girlfriend started to get upset and screamed “Let’s get out of here” as it got closer and closer. I looked at her like she was crazy and yelled in the direction of the craft, “Over here,” “Here we are,” while waving my hands in the air and jumping to try and get their attention.

My girlfriend was visibly shaken and confused, but she didn’t drive away leaving me in the desert, which I thought she might do.

After about another minute or so, it just flew or zipped straight up in the clouds and disappeared. And that was that. But it was fast, really fast, and it was completely vertical, just straight up. Nothing I’ve ever seen could have moved that fast and made those kinds of sudden stops.

We forgot all about messing around and just sat looking at each other, still in shock. After several minutes of being blown away, and several “holly shits,” “I can’t believe that just happened,” to each other, and after talking about it, we agreed not to tell anyone about it. No one would believe us anyway, and it would change nothing.

This is the first time in over 20 years I’ve shared it with anyone. And this was way before cell phones, and none of us carried around cameras for those spontaneous moments like when an alien spaceship might appear.

So that’s my story. I don’t expect anyone to believe me, but I do promise that it did happen, for whatever that’s worth. It’s just the way I remember it.

What helped me get my head around it and confirm in my head that, yes, it did happen, is that this was close to Nellis Air Force base, a place that gets a lot of reported spacecraft sightings and other strange reports.

What I saw could have actually been alien technology, but flown by US Air Force personnel.  However, unless the government decides to come clean, I guess I’ll never know for sure.

Nonetheless, the mystery and the experience are still fun. The memory is fun. I still get a chuckle thinking about my girlfriend freaking out and wanting to leave, and me giving her a look like, “are you serious?” and yelling “over here’ and waving my arms in the air.

Honestly, you and I know what it was. Even if we don’t know exactly who they are and exactly where they’re from, I think we all know it was aliens or alien tech. It could be us flying their technology, but it’s still alien tech no matter how you slice it. I really don’t know why we’re still debating this fact.

I think the government should just admit they covered it up to protect the public. They will take some criticism for a while but in the light of such a discovery and admission, their coverup will not get as much attention as the fact that we would confirm intelligent life in the universe. And what will it matter afterward anyway?

They could easily say, and with good reason, that they had the public’s best interest in mind. It’s their job to protect us. So until they really knew what they were dealing with, it was best to keep it a secret.

Now they can come out.
